A Rollout Built Around His Journey

Before revealing the album, BigXthaPlug’s face disappeared from the artwork of his earlier projects across streaming platforms. An Instagram teaser followed, tracing his life from childhood to performing in front of a sold-out crowd.

According to The Source, “LITE,” featuring Atlanta rapper Belly Gang Kushington, serves as the album’s first official single. (thesource.com)

The project follows I Hope You’re Happy, his country-inspired album released in August 2025. That release expanded the musical territory around his unmistakable voice. (thesource.com)

What Comes Next for BigX?

Rap Ritual’s take: BETTER OVER TIME is a title that sets an expectation. Growth has to show up in the records—in the writing, the production and the stories he chooses to tell.

The interesting question is where he takes that growth. Will this project lean further into crossover sounds, bring the focus back to Southern rap, or find another meeting point between them?

We’ll hear the answer when the album arrives October 30.
